Rivalry
I chose New Zealand Silver Ferns and Australian Diamonds because netball is my favourite sport and I love watching the rivalry between them. They are rivals on court but are friends off court.
I live in Leeston and we are rivals with Southbridge in Netball, Tennis and Rugby and other sports. We are always competing with each other but we are also very good friends off the field.
I am a student at Leeston Consolidated School. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Kia ora Liv,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on this activity, I researched common rivalries and come up with the ones below.
Good vs Evil
Pepsi vs. Coke.
Star Wars vs. Star Trek.
Cats vs. Dogs.
Boys vs. Girls.
With Coke vs Pepsi which one do you prefer? I am a Coke person all the way although did like the ads that Pepsi did.
Can you think of another one?
Nga mihi,
Mark
Kia ora Olivia, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteWell done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and creating this blog post about rivalries!
The New Zealand Silver Ferns and Australian Diamonds was an excellent rivalry to focus this post on, and I really like how you have included an image of the two rival teams in action.
It is great to hear about the awesome sportsmanship between the two teams. ‘Rivals on the court, but friends off the court’ is such a great example to set for young netballers all over the country!
You mentioned that you play in a team and are always competing against your friends. Do you have any advice for us on how to stay ‘rivals on the court but friends off the court’.
Nga mihi
